These images are from a series of portraits taken of friends from my hometown. I choose to focus on portraits taken in their respective homes, a glimpse into their personal spaces. Most of the subjects are new homeowners resulting in a space that is a state of transition.
I aim to capture children as they go about the business of childhood - eating, sleeping, playing. This work is from an ongoing series of photographing my nieces. I started photographing them as a way to document the delicacy of their youth. I discovered an endless source of material, capturing scenarios of daily life. Kids romp, pose, pretend and this work chronicles the lives of ordinary children.
